First of allaquarium acrylicIs a kind of high-end aquarium ornamental fish tank products, compared with the general glass fish tank, it has higher aesthetics and safety, this kind of fish tank is mainly made of PMMA material, has excellent weather resistance, especially suitable for outdoor applications. However, to remind everyone, the newly bought fish tank acrylic not only has peculiar smell, but also may contain some toxic substances. If the fish is directly put into it, it is very easy to cause the death of the fish. It must be disinfected. As for how to disinfect, the following details.
1, clear disinfection scope: in addition to disinfection of the entire fish tank, hanging in the fish tank filter and film should also be disinfected, if there are loopholes in the disinfection work, it is equal to the ornamental fish caused by the hidden danger of disease, so disinfection should be cautious.
2, the selection of good disinfection products: under normal circumstances, aquarium acrylicWhen disinfecting, there are two types of effective disinfectants, namely chlorine water and gray manganese oxygen. Both types of disinfectants can effectively release reactive oxygen species (ROS) and kill microorganisms and bacteria in the water, but they also have their own disinfection characteristics and can be selected according to their own needs. For example, chlorine water is colorless, put into the fish tank will not change the color of the water, and strong oxidation, high disinfection efficiency, good quality.
However, because it is colorless, people can not judge whether it is completely dissolved, we know that this kind of material can also stimulate fish, if the decomposition is not complete, such as ornamental fishaquarium acrylicIn, it will definitely play a negative role. The disinfection ability of gray manganese oxygen is weaker than that of chlorine water. After disinfection, it can make the acrylic fish tank water body red, but as long as the dissolution is completed, its products will be deposited at the bottom of the fish tank. This residue will not have any impact on water quality and fish.
3, other matters needing attention: in addition to the fish tank disinfection, placed in the fish tank plants and other decorations in the fish tank should be disinfected, insecticidal, in addition, before entering the tank acrylic, usually check whether there is a disease, to avoid the phenomenon of dead fish.
