Changsha Underwater World is located in the Jinying Film and Television Culture City on the banks of Liuyang River in Changsha, Hunan Province. It covers an area of nearly 100 acres and has an investment of 420 million yuan. It consists of seven functional areas including Polar Aquarium, Science and Education Museum, Water Park, and Children's Park, integrating viewing, leisure, entertainment, and science popularization.
Changsha Underwater World is a large-scale marine science education museum in Hunan, a Chinese marine science education base, and a film and television shooting base of Hunan Radio and Television Station. It is a national 4A level tourist attraction.
The building covers an area of 1100 square meters and consists of four parts: a science classroom, a biological evolution exhibition hall, a marine animal exhibition hall, and a marine shell exhibition hall.
