Organic glass is a popular building decoration material in recent years. Many people do not know the difference between plexiglass and ordinary glass, and some people think that there is no difference between the two. This view is incorrect. So,Organic glass processingWhat is the difference between ordinary glass?
1. acrylic anti ultraviolet performance: acrylic sheet are added with anti ultraviolet components, can effectively prevent ultraviolet radiation, increase the anti yellowing ability of the plate.
2. Light weight: the density of plexiglass is 1.16kg/dm3. The net weight of the same size material is only half of that of ordinary glass.
High mechanical strength: the relative molecular weight of organic glass is about 2 million, is a kind of long chain polymer material chemicals, the resulting molecular chain is very soft. Therefore, the compressive strength of organic glass is relatively high, and its tensile strength and impact resistance are 7 to 16 times higher than ordinary glass. Therefore, stretch-treated plexiglass can be used as bulletproof glass and canopy for military aircraft.
4. Convenient production and processing: the machine glass can be cut not only by CNC lathe, but also by drilling machine. It is also possible to synthesize devices of various shapes by adhesion with acetone or the like. It can also be processed into various products by plastic molding such as injection molding, injection molding, extrusion, etc., such as aircraft cockpit cover, denture cover, dental tray, etc.
5. Performance difference: ordinary glass thickness of more than 15cm, will become emerald green, through the glass can not see the object. The same thickness of plexiglass, through the thickness of one meter can clearly see the opposite object. Because of its excellent light transmission properties and the penetration of ultraviolet light, it is often used to make optical devices.
